After the failed attempt to find Grasso Coffee at Simei (and how we ended up at Penang Street (Eastpoint Mall), Pugs and I found the right address this time for Grasso Coffee, near Tai Seng MRT station (to be precise, at 1 Irving Place).

I had tried 123Jumpin previously with my mum at the same building, but Pugs was quite surprised to see a row of cafe-ish places occupying the ground floor of a building in a sort of industrial estate (i say sort of, because the industrial estates i usually go to for work are e.g. in tuas/pandancrescent/jurong etc…)

the interior, rather empty on a weekday morning, but it wasn’t quite morning either so i guess the peak hour morning crowd had probably passed and it was not yet lunch time. still, it was a pleasant feel, airy, bright and comfy.

flat white. no latte art 😦 (ok im so superficial…) but having said that, it was a bit too milky and i was quite disappointed with this coffee. oh well.

Pugs’ chicken mayo sandwich. He finished it all, so he was either very hungry, or it was not bad 🙂

and my egg mayo sandwich. It was not bad. Generally, you can’t go wrong with egg mayo sandwiches heh, so this was a fairly safe choice.

And so, if i were working around the area, i would probably stop by fairly often to grab brekkie/lunch (but having said that, there is breadtalkihq just not too far across the road). but i probably wouldn’t make the effort to go there just to eat otherwise (although i must say that there is ample not expensive parking and it is walking distance from the mrt station).
